List of Disqualifying Criminal Offenses Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code § 9.78

Ohio Revised Code (hereafter, R.C.) § 9.78(C) provides: "A licensing authority shall make available to the public on the licensing authority's internet web site a list of all criminal offenses of which conviction of that offense shall disqualify an individual from obtaining a license issued or conferred by the licensing authority"

The Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) lists below the disqualifying criminal offenses for licensing authorities within ODPS. A potential applicant seeking a determination of disqualification pursuant to R.C. § 9.78 may contact the applicable licensing authority to submit a form requesting a determination. A determination request that does not include all the required details of the individual's criminal conviction(s) is incomplete. ODPS will not make a determination based on an incomplete request.
